What do Vocal perfomance students have to study?
The Vocal Performance major provides students with foundational knowledge in the social sciences and humanities, along with a comprehensive understanding of music in general and vocal performance in particular. Students develop solid singing techniques and professional performance skills appropriate to their training level. They will study courses ranging from foundational to specialized subjects, such as: History of Western Music I, History of Vietnamese Music, Music Analysis, Acting Techniques, Solfège III, and more.

What is it like to study Vocal Performance at BKC?

PHASE 1

– Students complete the enrollment procedures (Enrollment documents; Tuition fee; Uniform; Student ID code and student card are issued).

– Participate in Orientation Day (Students meet department heads to get acquainted with the college environment; Receive instructions on how to access the student portal; Guidance on checking class schedules, exam schedules, study shifts, classrooms, etc.).

– Students take general education courses.

– Students are trained in essential soft skills (Communication skills; Presentation skills; Negotiation skills; Teamwork skills; Creative thinking skills; Questioning skills, etc.).

– Physical education and national defense training month in a professional environment.

– Field trips to observe real business models.

PHASE 2

– Students are equipped with fundamental disciplinary knowledge.

– Students are equipped with specialized knowledge.

– Students receive English training, including both communicative English and English for specific purposes.

– Students are trained in soft skills (Communication skills, Presentation skills, Creative thinking skills, Negotiation skills, …).

– Students participate in field trips to observe real business models.

– Students take part in internships and practical sessions in dedicated practice rooms.

– For certain professional subjects, students will study and practice directly at enterprises partnered with the college.

PHASE 3

– Students are trained with in-depth professional knowledge across more than 20 academic majors at Saigon Polytechnic College.

– Students study in industry-focused, major-specific, and discipline-based classes.

– Students receive English training, including Communicative English, English for Specific Purposes, and a B1 European Framework exit requirement.

– Students are trained in office informatics and meet the required informatics proficiency standard.

– Students participate in school activities to enhance soft skills before starting their future careers.

PHASE 4

– Students are trained with in-depth professional knowledge in their chosen major across more than 20 academic programs at Saigon Polytechnic College.

– Students primarily study in major-focused classes.

– Students receive English training and meet the B1 European Framework exit requirement.

– Students are trained to meet the required informatics proficiency standard.

– Students are equipped with essential skills such as work attitude, interview and job application skills, communication skills, and negotiation skills.

– Students are trained in CV writing.

– Students take the required English and Informatics certification exams.
